Villa Giacomelli is a four-story aristocratic historic property in Positano with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and one of the most exclusive villas in Amalfi Coast.  During your stay at this magnificent place, you will get spoiled by the staff of the villa which will make you feel like in your home while at the same time will contribute in making your stay an unforgettable experience.  Nestled on the highest point of Positano, Villa Giacomelli is considered one of the finest landmark homes in Positano offering views of the coast, the center of Positano and the islands of Li Galli.  The property which dates back to 1741, was built by wealthy merchants who were seeking for a luxurious place to discuss their business and from where they would be able to observe their ships while entering in the harbor by sea.  A famous artist at that time was hired to paint the ceilings in fresco and decorate each room with precious period artworks and antique furniture.  

The villa was completely restored and renovated in 2013 to offer state of the art technology and comfort with five-star services while preserving its authenticity.  The spacious outdoor terraces in different levels are equipped with comfortable alfresco furniture offering the perfect setting for lounging and dining with seating for sixteen guests.  The private colorful garden includes a variety of different trees such as olive, almond, lemon and mandarine trees, as well as flowers like bougainvillea and jasmine.  The ground floor main terrace houses an infinity cliff-edge swimming pool with sun lounges and a shower.  The double doors on the main terrace open into an open-plan dining area with seating for all the guests and a massive majolica-tiled open kitchen, fully equipped with professional appliances including a wood-burning oven ideal for bread and pizza.  On the same floor, there is also a spacious living room with a plasma TV, a library with books in multiple languages, an office desk, and two guest bathrooms.  The dining area and living room have direct access to the main shaded terrace with alfresco dining.  The main stairway leads to the upper level, to a common panoramic terrace which runs along the length of the villa with direct access to the four double suites.  Each suite has a private entrance and an en-suite bathroom.  The lower level has four additional double suites, each with autonomous access and en-suite bathroom.  The four suites share a panoramic terrace which also runs along the side of the villa.  

On your arrival day, you will be welcomed with a special dinner prepared by the villa’s top talented chef including typical Mediterranean cuisine with local fresh ingredients. Every morning a delicious Mediterranean breakfast will be served at the sun-kissed terrace overlooking the beach where you can enjoy the sound and view of the sea.  The chef of the villa is at your complete disposal eight hours per day for preparing your favorite dish for lunch or dinner.  Be it a plate of pasta or a lusciously light fresh fish?  It’s your choice!  The grocery shopping is all done by the villa, so you only do the eating!  The cooking service is included in the rental price except for the ingredients which are the only thing you will have to pay extra.  The villa is offering for one week stays a cooking class, a culinary experience where you will have the opportunity to learn how to cook a traditional recipe from Amalfi.  The location of the villa forms the perfect base for exploring the beautiful towns and beaches all-around the coasts.
